About Us

History

The Thought Knowledge Perception Institute (TKPI) was founded in September, 2007 by Matthew Capowski.  TKPI is a gathering place and platform for action for those exploring what thought is doing to our world.  David Bohm and Jiddu Krishnamurti, amongst others, were adamant in proposing that thought never has and never will solve humanity’s problems.  Their proposals deserve serious attention.

TKPI Is Not An Organization

We are:

  • A gathering and networking place for people exploring the proposals of David Bohm, Jiddu Krishnamurti, and other related individuals and groups.
  • A hub of information, news, links, people/group directories, and multimedia related to the work of Bohm, Jiddu Krishnamurti, and others.
  • A platform of action and activism; TKPI has specific projects in mind, and we hope the community will come up with their own.  Together we will support each other.

You will understand us much better by seeing the breadth and scope of our projects.

Matthew Capowski

Matthew Capowski Director/Founder

Matthew’s education is in psychology and his work experience is with adults with developmental disabilities, youth crisis intervention, brain injury community support, and child protection.

Since a young age Matthew was dissatisfied with the status quo. However, until he came across the recorded words of David Bohm and Jiddu Krishnamurti he had great uncertainty about how to address the many grievances he observed.

Matthew hopes TKPI will foster a supportive and creative community that will be a living example of what is possible when thought is not distorting us.
